Sooooooo Thankful

Know what I am thankful for today? Of course you don't! I'm thankful I'm not a surgeon! I thought that as I mended innumerable (is that a word?) pieces of molding from the kitchen floor that "Someone" broke removing. No, we aren't going to use them again but they are needed for measuring--a fact that I had missed somewhat in the translation. Anyway, as I did the painstaking work reconstructing, I thought of surgeons who put together shattered bones every day and said a prayer of thanks for them and for the fact that I am not one of them. For years I wanted to be a doctor but am so glad I'm not.
Sing the New Floors song for me: we are getting new kitchen and utility room floors tomorrow and have killed ourselves getting ready. The guys came today and brought the stuff to sit for the night so it will get used to our house before they lay it tomorrow. it smells so good!!!! I'll try and send a picture when it gets done but with my picture record, I'm not sure how it'll do. For the past 5 years or so, I have been physically unable to scrub the floors on hands and knees ( Good old Tim did it once and so did lovely ol' Tara) so it was in very bad need as I had to scrub all the marks off the places where the moldings were also. After about 2 1/2 hours, the kitchen floor looked passably clean and I looked dead!! But I DID IT! Didn't work as hard on the utility room as I did the kitchen but it had been scrubbed not long ago when we had our little flood. Tomorrow the slate is clean! And so is the floor.
Oh yes, we can sing the New Glasses song too. My new glasses are finally in and I can see!!!! Yeah, I also have a huge headache but the vision difference is amazing! Will probably not be driving in them for a few hours though!
